Business Name: Samantha Joy Photography, LLC Established:2005 Accepts:Check, PayPal, Discover, MasterCard, Visa Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat primary photographic style do you identify with?Lifestyle, Contemporary, Photojournalism What do your packages include?Albums, Custom Graphic Design, Digital Files, Flush Mount, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Thank You Cards Do you have liability insurance?Yes Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?While i prefer to shoot with as much natural light as possible in every situation, weddings aren't always known for perfect lighting, especially as the day progresses. I will always use natural light when possible, and when it is not possible, i have plenty of options as far as 'studio' lighting available at all times. Is your media preference film or digital?I shoot 100% digital. How many photographers do you work with?I am the primary shooter at all of my sessions / weddings. but I often have assistants with me. Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?If you book with me, I WILL be your photographer. Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?I only book 2 weddings a month, and never on back to back weekends so that I can give my clients the best possible service. Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?I work with a few photographers in the area that I could count on should a situation arise. What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?I have my main camera setup, along with 2 full backups and extra lenses, batteries, flashes, straps. Also, full lighting equipment and backups. Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?I have 3 full setups of all of the equipment that i use and all of my equipment travels with me to every shoot / wedding. Do you charge hourly or full day?I offer 'packages' to accommodate both options. Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?I am available for extra hours, but rarely do I need them, as I work out the timing with all of my clients and always stay through the wedding reception to get all of the images of the first dances / special events of the reception. What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?The only break that I take is a short 15-20 minute break during dinner to eat. Dinner is provided by the client. Do you charge for travel?I only charge for travel, outside of the Madison/Milwaukee area. How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?Within 10 days (usually much less time!) In what format are the initial proofs offered?All initial proofs are available for online viewing. How long can the client keep the proofs?All printed proofs are for the client to keep. Do you retain the copyright for the photos?Photographer retains all rights to the photographs. The client will receive a copyright release to print the photos they receive for their own use. Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?Yes Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?Depending on the wedding package you choose determinds the amount of ditial files. Will images be available for viewing online?Yes What kind of albums do you offer?There are several different albums to choose from. All are leather bound and I only use a high quality professional company to handle all of my albums. When will the client get the final album?Once the album has been approved by the client (ready for viewing within 14 days of the wedding) the album takes aprox. 2-3 weeks to have made and shipped.
